A curriculum vitae is about content and how this content is presented. Both subjects are discussed in two separate training programmes. A combination of both subjects is also possible of course.
Content
“Miss, should I list all my side jobs on my CV?” A relevant question if you just graduated and do not have a broad work experience yet. However, this question has no standard answer.
How to arrive at an answer that works for you, is one of the topics we will cover in the ‘curriculum vitae – content’ training.
In this training, participants will learn among other things:
- The important aspects of the position, organisation or sector they are interested in;
- how to make a selection from all the information (including side jobs) they can offer;
- how to achieve a customised approach for each job application.
Layout
“The bullets indicate my level of fluency per language.” Okay… clear. Or not!? Just as: a photograph on your CV. Another brain-twister: smart thing to do or not!?
I once managed to get a job interview by matching my photo with my CV but that doesn’t mean this will work for everybody.
How to present yourself best on paper, is something I share with participants of the training ‘curriculum vitae – layout’
In this training, participants will learn among other things:
- The important aspects in terms of layout for the position, organisation or sector they are interested in;
- how they can make the information in their CV clear to everybody;
- how to highlight certain information in their presentation, such as work experience or international experience.
